On Wednesday, March 5, former Rudder High School standout Christopher Benavidez’s current college team, the Sam Houston Bearkats, won 9-7 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the UT Arlington Mavericks.

The game took place at Clay Gould Ballpark. This was their first matchup against the Mavericks this season.

The Bearkats’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. at L. Dale Mitchell Park against Oklahoma Sooners.
