Michael McCaul, U.S. Representative and former lead congressional investigator for the Boston Marathon bombing, recently addressed national security concerns and legislative efforts in a series of posts on his official social media account.
On March 10, 2026, McCaul commented on recent events in New York and praised law enforcement’s actions: “Having served as the lead congressional investigator for the Boston Marathon bombing, I know that what happened in New York could have been far, far worse. Today on @Newsnation, I discussed the @NYPD’s heroic response and the heightened threat environment facing our nation.”
The following day, March 11, 2026, he discussed military objectives related to Iran during an appearance on CNN: “The military objectives for Operation Epic Fury—dismantling Iran’s missile & drone production, destroying their Navy to open the strait of Hormuz, & ensuring they never have a nuclear weapon—are achievable. I joined @CNN to discuss the military’s success & what could come next.”
On March 12, 2026, McCaul highlighted legislative progress supporting pediatric drug development: “Grateful @NewsNation & @JoeKhalilTV are sharing Logan’s story & honoring Mikaela’s legacy. Kids like them are the reason I fought so hard to pass the Mikaela Naylon Give Kids A Chance Act, which will spur cutting-edge pediatric drug development for years to come. Watch this”
McCaul has represented Texas in Congress through several election cycles. In 2024 he won reelection against Theresa Boisseau with 63.6% of the vote; previous victories include defeating Linda Nuno in 2022 (63.3%), Mike Siegel in both 2018 (51.1%) and 2020 (52.5%), Tawana Walter-Cadien in both 2014 (62.2%) and 2016 (57.3%). These consistent wins underscore his established role within his district.
