Michael McCaul, U.S. Representative for Texas’s 10th congressional district, recently shared a series of updates on his official Twitter account regarding economic progress and internship opportunities in his office.

On July 30, 2025, McCaul commented on the state of the U.S. economy: “Another economic report surpasses expectations — thanks to the return of fiscal responsibility & pro-growth leadership in Washington. Inflation is down, GDP is up, & the OBBB is putting more money in the pockets of average American families. The best is yet to come! “

The following day, he expressed gratitude to interns who had worked with his team over the summer: “As our summer internships wrap up, I’m thankful for the hardworking young people who have served on Team McCaul—both in my district office & on Capitol Hill. From taking phone calls to drafting policy memos, assisting with constituent services & so much more, they have played an”

He also announced ongoing recruitment for new interns: “My office is currently seeking applicants for our Fall 2025 intern class, both in Washington, D.C., and in our district offices! To find out how to apply, click below:”

McCaul has represented Texas’s 10th congressional district since 2005 and has consistently secured re-election by significant margins. In the most recent election held in 2024, he defeated Theresa Boisseau with 63.6% of the vote compared to Boisseau’s 34%. Previous elections show similar results against other challengers such as Linda Nuno (2022), Mike Siegel (2020 and 2018), and Tawana Walter-Cadien (2016 and 2014).
