On Saturday, Feb. 15, former Lexington High School standout Kinsey Hobbs’ current college team, the Sam Houston State Bearkats, won 1-0 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Northern Illinois Huskies.

The game took place at Lamson Park. This was their first matchup against the Huskies this season.

The Bearkats’ next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 6 p.m. at Blue Raider Softball Field against Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders.
