On Sunday, Feb. 23, former Rudder High School standout Christopher Benavidez’s current college team, the Sam Houston Bearkats, won 6-3 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the NJIT Highlanders.

The game took place at Don Sanders Stadium. This was their fourth matchup against the Highlanders this season.

The Bearkats’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 6:30 p.m. at Schroeder Park against Houston Cougars.
