On Sunday, March 9, former Rudder High School standout Christopher Benavidez’s current college team, the Sam Houston Bearkats, lost 9-7 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Oklahoma Sooners.

The game took place at L. Dale Mitchell Park. This was their third matchup against the Sooners this season.

The Bearkats’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Baylor Ballpark against Baylor Bears.
