Texas A&M divers Emilio Trevino and Joslyn Oakley advanced to the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships following their performances on March 9 during the first day of the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships at the Rec Center Natatorium.

The advancement is significant as it marks Trevino’s first appearance at the NCAA Championships, while Oakley will be making her third trip. Their qualification highlights the strength of Texas A&M’s diving program this season.

Trevino, a freshman from Monterey, Mexico, secured his spot in the men’s 3-meter dive by finishing fifth with a total score of 735.25 over 12 dives. Oakley, a senior from Mooresville, North Carolina, earned her place in the women’s 1-meter dive by finishing fourth with a score of 589.55. Both athletes needed top finishes—seventh or better for Trevino and eleventh or better for Oakley—to advance.

Other Texas A&M divers also competed on Monday. Sophomores Bridget Foster and Julie Moons placed seventeenth and eighteenth respectively in the women’s 1-meter event, while Nathan Stone and Charles Reuter finished thirteenth and fifteenth in the men’s 3-meter competition.

Live results are available at divemeets.com, and coverage of the remaining events can be streamed via ESPN+ with a subscription. The schedule continues through Wednesday with additional preliminary and final rounds for both men’s and women’s events.

The next days will see more Aggie athletes competing as they aim to join Trevino and Oakley at the national championships.
