Michael McCaul, a long-serving member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 10th district, shared his views on border security and military advancements through a series of tweets on June 18, 2025. Born in Dallas in 1962, McCaul has been serving since 2005 and resides in Austin.
In one tweet from June 18, McCaul expressed support for former President Trump’s efforts to secure the U.S. border. He stated, "The American people gave President Trump a mandate to secure the border, and he is delivering! Thank you to all the brave men and women of @ICEgov and @CBP on the frontlines for defending the homeland and making our communities safe again."
On the same day, McCaul criticized the Biden administration's handling of border security policies. He remarked that "When the Biden admin abdicated its duty to defend the southern border and implemented their disastrous catch-and-release policy, they risked every American’s safety and put a strain on our communities."
Later that day, McCaul commented on military infrastructure developments during his visit to Texas A&M University’s RELLIS Campus. He observed that "Today, I finally got to see the completed Phase 1 @TAMU BAM range at the @relliscampus, which will put weapons in the hands of our warfighters faster and at a lower cost, ensuring we can compete —and win— against our adversaries."
