Michael McCaul addresses youth outreach, disaster relief and anti-trafficking bill on social media

Michael McCaul, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 10th district since 2005, shared updates this week on social media regarding his recent activities in Congress and support for his constituents.

On July 16, McCaul posted about meeting young agricultural leaders from his district: "Had a wonderful time meeting with @NationalFFA members from Texas’ 10th district! As a member of the Congressional FFA Caucus, I always enjoy meeting with the next generation of agricultural leaders to discuss how we can protect American farmers and continue to secure a steady https://t.co/HMwyKlyGjg".

Later that day, he expressed gratitude for federal disaster relief efforts following a local tragedy: "Grateful for @POTUS’ swift response to support Texans in the wake of tragedy. Today, he designated Williamson County as eligible for public assistance from @FEMA to help our community recover.

Constituents in both Travis and Williamson Counties are also still eligible for".

On July 17, McCaul announced new legislation aimed at combating child trafficking along with Representative Gabe Vasquez: "Proud to introduce the Stop COYOTES Act alongside @RepGabeVasquez to put a stop to cartel-sponsored child trafficking & ensure law enforcement agencies have the information-sharing infrastructure to protect our kids and keep our communities safe. McCaul was born in Dallas in 1962 and currently resides in Austin. He earned his undergraduate degree from Trinity University in 1984 and obtained his JD from St. Mary's University, Texas in 1987. Since joining Congress after succeeding Lloyd Doggett, McCaul has been active on issues impacting agriculture, public safety, and emergency response efforts.
